Volker is leading J. Boye’s activities in the DACH region. His primary focus is to launch and moderate local groups on web and intranet. At the J.Boye conference in Aarhus, from 8-10 November, he will moderate the track on digital marketing.
Prior to J. Boye, he was head of the e-marketing department at Wienerberger, the world’s largest producer of bricks and number 1 on the clay roof tiles market in Europe with 245 plants worldwide. Volker was responsible for the digital marketing strategy including 40 centralized websites in 27 countries and 17 languages. Implementing a concept for search engine optimization, digital brand management and social media, as well as the kick-off of an Extranet project for optimizing business processes, was also part of his job.
Previously, Volker worked several years as art director at elements.at, a web-design firm located in Salzburg, where he created interactive experiences for customers in many industries. In this position, he did also the project management for some large scaled websites.
Volker holds a masters degree in e-business from the University of Applied Science of Upper Austria.
In his spare time, he enjoys swimming in the lakes of Salzkammergut in Austria.
