As we notice the Elefants are not in focus of high traffic multimedia portals.

They are not as flexible and customizable for the publishing process as required. National leaders are more efficient.

EMC Documentum is now partnering with SDL for WCM/WEM.

Shouldn't FileNet be mentioned together with the IBM elephant?

Hi Janus,
nice list but maybe you aren´t 100% up-to-date, but since we haven´t spoken for quite some time (and as far as I know you aren´t following on Twitter anymore ;).
Germany is obviously our home market but we do have in the meantime "local" references in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Holland, Sweden, UK and France - not mentioning our large and enterprise customers, using FirstSpirit globally (which are based in Europe, Africa and the USA).
rgds,
Robert

hi Guy, i think one of the further improvements could be, the automatic ceation of a link to the collegues that have type the same competences. For instance, i type "Photoshop" in the box and this word became a link that provide all the collegues that had type the same word.

Bye

You've omitted Dynamicweb which meets all your criteria and which is in Gartners Magic Quadrant for WCMS in 2010 and in 2011.

Licensing: Commercial (License and SaaS)
Platform: .Net
Size: 40+
Strong countries: DK/SE/NO/NL (Emerging: PL/ES/PT/BR/UK)
Weak: Rest of world

Adaptive Images/Videos are the way to go. If you want to be successful with that paradigm you need to adapt your images/videos to connection quality and screen size.
It's no solution to deliver a 1600x900 500 KB image to an iPhone via an EDGE connection and let the client do the scaling. So we need to prepare for and find server-side and last-mile solutions to be able to get wide adoption for responsiveness.
