Case: Voestalpine

Track: Social media
Conference Day #1, Wednesday November 3rd, 16.00-17.00

Andrea Zajicek, online and social media manager, is a digital native with a passion for social media. When she searched for "Voestalpine" on Facebook almost 2 years ago, she found nothing. It didn’t take long time before she started a page for her corporation and the first fans connected with Voestalpine.

Fast forward 2 years: The company now has a strong presence in multiple social web platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Slideshare, Flickr, and a corporate blog). In addition a "social media manual" for all 40,000 employees has been introduced.

Andrea will share her insights in launching corporate social media at a b2b company, including

  • Developing a social media strategy: Goal setting, kick-off and information events
  • Managing social media channels and the publishing process: Daily social media work
  • Organizing social media within the organisation: “Social media manual“ for employees
  • Reporting on social media benefits for the business: Impact on visibility, search, etc.
