Biography

Britt is an experienced web manager who has been working with most aspects of the web. My first date with the web was in 1996, when I was working as a communication worker. When I really found out about the web I was hooked. After that I never let it go. The web IS the best.

At the moment I am working in health care business in the private sector where focus is very much on online marketing. Britt’s current role is as portal manager at www.behandlingsvejviseren.dk (Righttreatment.com)

Formerly, I have been a web editor in the public sector and in organizations, at that time my focus was mostly on strategic and organizational issues and off course all the daily stuff. Have been working with communications since the beginning of the 90s, where I started educating in communications and web. Britt holds a master in communications and have continued education in project management, strategic communications and web management.

Doctorservice

Doctorservice is the Danish company behind Behandlingsvejviseren.dk (Righttreatment.com). Doctorservice is offering medical consultancy to private persons, employees in companies and to citizens in municipalities.

The company’s slogan is “Treating you right” and that is what Doctorservice is trying to: Help patients being treated the best way.

Behandlingsvejviseren.dk (Righttreatment.com) is part of this business, a portal where patients can find treatments, compare waiting times and prices and other relevant info on all private hospitals and clinics in Denmark. The patients are supposed to rate their treatment on the site which means that other patients have the chance to see ratings on the hospital or clinic they are going to visit.

In the beginning the idea of making Behandlingsvejviseren.dk or Righttreatment.com was to build a hotels.com, but for hospitals and clinics in the private health care sector.

The idea has been to build a portal containing all private hospitals and clinics in the private sector to help patients finding the best treatment and ensure transparency in the sector. A web portal where patients for free can find treatment, waiting times and prices, see info on the clinics, look for specialists etc. On private hospitals profiles patients can see if the hospital is safety rated regarding anaesthesia and they can see other patients’ ratings on all hospitals and clinics and they can rate their own treatment as well.

Doctorservice, the company behind Righttreatment.com, is an independent company and has no interests in certain hospitals or clinics. Using the site is for free for patients, they need to sign up though, if they want to use all facilities. All hospitals and clinics can sign up for free as well.

But it costs a lot to built and run a portal, so Doctorservice needs to find ways monetizing, still being independent.
