  Fabiana Mariano Green

Fabiana Mariano Green is the Web Production Manager at the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva. WHO’s website is in 6 languages and the organization follows a decentralized model for content publishing.

Fabiana manages a small team that provides web consulting services to WHO departments that want to post content to the site. The team is also responsible for administering and optimizing the tools that support WHO’s  web production environment, such as search and web analytics.

Fabiana’s professional interests are web standards, the semantic web, innovation processes and leadership.

World Health Organization

It is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends.

During this presentation we will look at why WHO developed a web strategy, how it was developed, what went well and what didn't, and how it is being implemented.
