Biography

  Jerzy Kuba Karpel

In 2008 Jerzy Karpel joined the newly created group called Web CC that was set up to advance Mars Inc in web technologies. Jerzy has been responsible for setting up Architecture of Participation strategy and the deployment of the Intranet web 2.0 tools for Mars Inc.

During Masters deggree in Management in Katowice Poland Jerzy started a successful internet startup studiuj.pl an internet site that help students consciously select  course of studies and the best university.

In 2001 after completing his masters he joined Mars on the Manager Development Program, during this period he worked on development and deployment of Sales and Marketing Systems across Europe.

Upon the successful finish of the Management program he was responsible for building and recruitment for a new IT hub in Poland and later on in Russia.

In 2007 he has joined a Consumer team where he assumed Project Manager role for Marketing and Sales systems. In this role he project managed the implementation of SAP portal in Mars inc and was responsible for setup of creation of SAP development offshore factory.

Jerzy enjoys water sports especially diving and windsurfing, in winter he is a keen skier.
