Michael Lerskov is project manager of Danske Bank’s smartphone project – that is bringing financial services to the customers smartphones.
He holds a master degree in Computer Science from Aalborg University and is currently studying business administration at Aarhus University.

Danske Bank is first mover in Denmark and Finland with an iPhone app that brings simple day-to-day banking to the iPhones of retail customers. With more than 50.000 downloads the first month, the app exceeded the wildest expectations. The timing was right, the app was right and the app met the customers right at where they were.
This case study will focus on how iDanske was developed from idea to a product within less than an year. It will show how innovation can be used to bring existing capabilities directly to the customers pocket. The presentation will describe how Danske Bank managed to get the job done, which technologies they used, their most significant challenges, their primary benefits and not least the lessons learned.
