IKEA is known worldwide as a Scandinavian home furnishings giant promoting democratic design at affordable prizes. BusinessWeek placed the brand 28th in the 2009 ranking of ‘Best Global Brands’ further underlining the company’s global appeal.

Being an international organisation does, however, bring with it a number of challenges in terms of internal communication. Learn how the North American division of IKEA enabled its retail and factory co-workers to access the Intranet over the WWW.

International Information Manager Beth Bleba will share her experiences in a presentation on the Intranet track on Conference Day #2. Her passion for developing digital channels has helped evolve the IKEA US Retail Intranet, which she also discussed in her Philadelphia 2009 presentation on Using the Intranet to Drive Sales. If you attended in 2009 or sign up for 2010, you can download her 2009 slides from the 2009 conference site.
