Manager, Capability & Communication, Transfield Services Americas
Andy Jayne is the Manager of Capability & Communication for Transfield Services Americas, a company whose global offerings include facilities management, natural resources & industrial services and transportation infrastructure. In addition to supervising the Corporate Social Responsibility Program and Innovation Programs for the Americas, Andy also manages the region’s corporate intranet.
Andy’s experience slowly moved out of Information Technology (where he held positions in Network Administration, Database Management and Website Management) and into Communications (Copy Writer, Content Management). Lucky for him, the two fields complement one another in the field of Knowledge Management which now occupies most of his workday.

Conference Day #2, Thursday May 5th, 3.15 pm - 4.00 pm
Waiting for the candidates to knock down your door? Get comfortable - it will be a long wait...
Finding competent, knowledgeable and innovative content managers who actually want to jump in and contribute to your corporate intranet is like finding a specific needle in a stack of needles. Once you find them, hold on for dear life! But how do you find them?
At Transfield Services, we constantly wrestle with this question. What works one year falls flat on its face the next. Come see what we’ve done to find those diamonds in the rough that help make our intranet content rich and engaging. We’ll go over what worked, what didn’t and what you do in your organization to find (and convince) your own needles.
Conference Day #2, Thursday May 5th, 2.00 pm - 3.00 pm
How do you approach the subject sensibly? How do you identify the best people to create and manage the content? How do you "de-silo" and better organise the content already in your intranet? These are some of the possible topics Andy will explore.
